Cancellation policy
There is no automatic cancellation for bad weather except in the case of a Typhoon 8 or Black Rain warning.  In other cases, if weather conditions mean lessons cannot continue we will phone you to cancel the lesson with as much notice as possible.  If we do not do so, then the normal rules of cancellation apply – that is, 24 hours notice for weekday lessons and 48 hours for weekend/public holiday lessons.

Arenas for private lessons
If you book a private lesson, then you will work with a single instructor in one of our arenas.  However, please note that you are not guaranteed to have sole use of that arena and at busy times you may be required to share it with another rider or riders.

Car parking
We are lucky enough to have ample parking in our own carpark next to our turn-out paddock.  For the benefit of our neighbours, please refrain from using the other car parking spaces nearby.

Paddock safety
For your own safety, please do not walk across our turn-out paddock when horses are grazing.

Helmet standard changes effective 1 January 2016
From 1 January 2016 the BHS (and therefore Lo Wu) required all riders to use a helmet that complies with PAS015.  For more details, click here.

Footwear safety
If you are walking anywhere other than in the clubhouse seating areas, then you should (for your own safety) wear suitable, enclosed footwear.  If you are riding, you must wear enclosed footwear with a small heel.

Hydration
During the summer months, Hong Kong’s temperatures and humidity can take their toll on both horses and riders.  When you’re riding, please ensure you have a drink to hand so you avoid becoming dehydrated.

Photo taking
You are very welcome to take photos at the Club of your own family and of other people that have consented to you doing so.  Please follow appropriate etiquette and ask the instructor before taking photos of lessons.
